I'll be installing software and running it as the default pi user.

The hostname for this Raspberry Pi will be strangefruit4.

We will start with the following assumptions:

A project box with a momentary button and both cameras front mounted.

FLIR Lepton camera with the Pure Engineering breakout board.

Raspberry Pi 2 B computer, 32GB SD card.

It has been developed against the following system:

Colorization and all forms of image blending and merging are configurable, often at runtime.

Pictures can be uploaded to Amazon S3 for use with a gallery.

Galleries are supported by means of the API.

A button on the project box can be used to trigger the camera.

RabbitMQ is used as the message brokering service for Celery.Interactions with the hardware are processed asynchronously by means of Celery.The API will be discoverable as much as possible by HATEOAS conventions.

This is run as a Flask application and all interaction is done with JSON and through RESTful APIs.Python is the base language in preference for anything that can't happen with system packages and command line.In almost all cases that is done with its python PIL bindings. Images are taken with both cameras and combined via ImageMagick.This respository is for controlling a Raspberry Pi computer running the standard camera that comes with the Pi and a second thermal imaging camera.This is an application to let a Raspberry Pi use a pair of cameras to capture and post process thermal and regular visual camera information into new, blended images.Ī range of options are available to transform and merge these images into new pictures.
